About Bridgework
We come from people who knew how to gather.

We come from people who knew how to gather.
Our grandparents had front porches. Sunday dinners that lasted four hours. Neighbors who knew when something was wrong just by the look on your face. Somewhere along the way, we lost that — traded it for group chats, “we should catch up soon,” and a hundred surface-level connections instead of a few real ones.
Bridgework is an attempt to get some of that back.
It’s a dinner and conversation series — real food, a large honest conversation, and one question to start that nobody deflects. No icebreakers. No networking. No performing that everything’s fine. Just people who share something in common — an identity, an experience, a piece of who they are — sitting down to talk about what’s actually true.
We started Bridgework because we kept having the best conversations of our lives standing in kitchens at the end of parties, after everyone “official” had already left. We wanted to build a table where that’s the whole point, not the afterthought.

A few people who see you, fully, are worth more than a thousand who only see your highlight reel.
This is for the people who are tired of code-switching. Tired of leaving parts of themselves at the door. Tired of small talk standing in for the conversation they actually want to have.

Questions
Everything you want to know before you pull up a chair.
Everything you want to know before you pull up a chair.
Q: What is Bridgework, exactly?
A: A dinner and conversation series. We bring together communities around a shared identity or experience, share a meal, then open up a large group conversation guided by one honest question. Think: dinner party meets the conversation your community actually needs to have.
Q: What happens at a dinner?
A: Doors open at 5:30pm. Dinner runs from 6 to 7. From 7 to 9 we have an honest, guided group conversation — the kind that leaves you with new language, practical tools, and people who see you a little more clearly than they did two hours ago.
Q: How much does it cost?
A: $20 per seat. That covers your spot at the table. We keep it low because cost should never be the reason someone doesn’t show up. If $20 is a barrier, reach out at connect@wearebridgework.com — we’ll find a way to get you a seat.
Q: Which communities are these for?
A: Right now: Queer Black & Brown, Artists & Creatives, Trans & Nonbinary, Faith & Deconstruction, Immigrants, Lesbian Community, and Gay Community. If you don’t see your community listed, tell us — we’re actively building out more tables.
Q: Can I submit questions anonymously?
A: Yes! We will have a way where you can submit questions and we will ask it for you. We want your voice, experience, and questions heard.
Q: What if my city isn’t listed?
A: Tell us. We’re choosing future cities based on where the demand and the people are.
Q: Is this a one-time thing?
A: Not at all. This is the beginning of many more tables and many more honest conversations. A community that keeps showing up for itself gets stronger every time.
Q: How do I get involved beyond attending?
A: Sign up on our event page to hear about upcoming dinners. If you’re interested in hosting, partnering, or bringing Bridgework to a new city, reach out at connect@wearebridgework.com
